Harvesting by hand in crates. In general, the harvests begin at the start of October. Traditional winemaking with lots of extraction work via rack and return in the aqueous phase (i.e. before the alcohol level becomes too high). Fairly early separation to preserve the fruitiness and end alcoholic fermentation in order to retain lots of suppleness on the palate. Malolactic fermentation. The best vats are matured in barrels for 5-6 months.
Beautiful dark red appearance. Intense nose of black fruit and liquorice aromas, paired with fresher strawberry and raspberry notes. Very rounded and supple in the attack, with dense, silky tannins and an elegant structure. An aromatic black fruit finish.
