Cuvée Alegre Red

A second wine, Cuvée Alegre, the baby brother of Campo Eliseo, was first made in 2007, with the same attention to detail but a lighter style. ‘Allegro’ is a musical direction that means ‘at a fast, lively tempo’.

Winemaking techniques

Cold pre-fermentation for 4-5 days at 6°C with intense extraction, punching down and pumping over before alcoholic fermentation, followed by a long period of maceration on the skins (one month) with regular pumping over. Maturation for 14 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting notes

Beautiful ripe cherry colour. An expressive nose with red fruit, cocoa and delicate spice notes. Rounded, well structured and tannic on the palate.
