Les Hauts de Janeil – Grenache & Sauvignon

Grenache Blanc is primarily found in Roussillon, where it makes dry white wines that are rich and linger on the palate. This grape variety is able to withstand drought and strong winds well. Sauvignon is a quality white grape variety originally grown in the Bordeaux region. It produces fine white wines with exotic, floral and fruity notes.

Winemaking techniques

Tasting of the grapes to decide on harvesting time. Maceration on the skins for a few hours. Racking. Addition of yeast. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures (16 – 18ºC). Malolactic fermentation for a part. Aged on fine lees during 6 months for a part.

Tasting notes

Pale yellow robe, fresh citrus, grapefruit and exotic fruits like aromas on the nose. Juicy acidity on the palate with a soft and zesty finish.
